Hahn Examines Minimum Wage Issue

Raising Pennsylvania’s minimum wage from the current figure of $7.25 per hour - the same as the federal minimum – was a frequent topic during the House Appropriations Committee’s budget hearings. Both the pros and cons of the issue were thoroughly examined.

During his February budget address, Gov. Tom Wolf proposed bumping the figure to $12 this July, and then raising it by 50 cents every year until 2025, when it would reach $15 per hour.
