Hahn Appointed to Property Tax Working Group

HARRISBURG – As a former legislative staff member and nearly five-term member of the Legislature, state Rep. Marcia Hahn (R-Bushkill Township) has been on the front lines of the property tax debate. For that reason, she has been appointed to serve on a School Property Tax Working Group that met Monday for the second time. The group consists of House and Senate members from both sides of the aisle.

Legislators Announce State Grant to Connect Local Business with Clean Energy Source

EAST ALLEN TOWNSHIP – State Sen. Mario Scavello (R-Northampton/Monroe) and Rep. Marcia Hahn (R-Northampton) are announcing the award of a nearly $321,000 grant from the Commonwealth Financing Authority (CFA) Pipeline Investment Program that will allow natural gas service to be extended to Keystone Cement Company in East Allen Township. The grant will be administered by the Lehigh Valley Economic Investment Corporation, which serves as an intermediary between business owners and financial institutions or economic development financing programs in the Commonwealth.

Education Funding, Responsible Spending Highlight 2019-20 Budget, Says Hahn

HARRISBURG – The state House today moved the General Assembly one step closer to finalizing a spending plan for 2019-20 by passing House Bill 790, the General Appropriations portion of the state budget, by a 140-62 margin, according to state Rep. Marcia Hahn (R-Bushkill Township). The legislation may now be taken up by the state Senate.
